For a while now, since I've been drawing closer to Christ in my daily life, my dreams are really being attacked. I know it's in my mind, and not willing on my part, but I realize I can't make the dreams stop on my own. Recently, in my dreams I partake in sinful things that I am no longer a part of in my life. I know this is the enemy's way of attacking me when I am not aware or in control of what is in my mind, but I am sick and tired of it. I find myself waking up in a state of mind I do not want to be in. I ask forgiveness for what I do in my dreams. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray the Lord renews my mind to be completely in His will at ALL times. I know I can't control what i dream, but I'm so sick of the things I dream about at times. Thank you for anyone willing to lift this up in prayer for me. God Bless you ALL!

Hey there, have you tried lucid dreaming before? You can control what you dream about and what you do in your dreams- I do it all the time, as do some other users of this site, it's great fun and is very easy to learn. I've been doing it for a long time now and I can't remember where I originally learned how to do it, but this site here Lucid Dreaming -- Dream Views is one of many that you can learn it from. There's many other websites that cover lucid dreaming too, a quick internet search will do it

Please be assured that your dreams are not "you sinning against God!" God understands you and I (us) far better than we can know. Jesus is a precious Saviour also in the fact that "He suffered temptation in everything as we do yet without sin". He is there and knows your heart and sensitivity and draws alongside you and says "My precious Child, I gave up all I have for you, I have loved from from before you were born and I have forgiven you *all* of your sin, be at peace and rest in my love for you".

Please be assured of my loving prayers as I too am a sinner loved unconditionally by Jesus!

I do not believe you have sinned in any way at all in these dreams.

I am a dreamer as well.
As a child I would have horrible nightmares when sick, etc. After being baptised in the Holy Spirit the Lord made it clear to me that He was speaking to me through my dreams. Since then I have also had some bad dreams including ones in which I myself was sinning.
I found the Lord would warn me of things the enemy was wanting to do in my life.
I found the Lord would warn me of spiritual open doors as well that I may get them closed.
In cases like the dreams you have been having...it is a good idea to pray and ask the Lord what it is all about and for Him to teach you about dreams in your life!
Dreams can be like letters from the Lord.
We don't want to miss a single message!
I have learned I am hyper sensitive to things around me like things on television. If I watch certain things will have bad dreams etc due to what has come in off the shows.

I make a habit of praying before I go to sleep and around my home, annointing windows and doors with oil and that seems to help with bad dreams. When I do get them, I sit strait up in bed and speak out loud to the enemy rebuking him and pleading the blood on my home, inviting the Holy Spirit to surround me with his presence. I must admit, I have had some pretty scary dreams where it feels something cold is on my chest when I wake and the fear is awful...it can be hard to pray but I force myself too along with giving praises to the Lord. There's scriptures in the bible that talk about the enemy can't be around where people are worshipping the Lord..he runs from that so I always keep that in mind when i'm being attacked. If I can's sleep, then i'll turn worship music on and sing along to it quietly and that atmosphere that fills the room usually puts me right to sleep.

Reading Miss Rolo's message brought back alot of memories. When the Lord had me in a season of learning more about dreams I had alot of activity going on as well. Once I even felt something jump up on my bed like a cat, but there was no cat there! I also began doing alot of anointing with oil and praying through the house.
It seems the Lord will open your eyes to this sort of thing that He may begin to teach you. He will also equip you for it.
Just this week I dreamt of something being in the upper corner of my bedroom. It was some creature that was forming something up there as I talked on the phone with my daughter. (all this in the dream not reality) I tried to ignore the thing but then was shocked it had formed some kind of cocoon and it had really gotten big! To me this is really creepy.
But I feel the Lord is wanting to warn me about something taking place beneath my nose that I have probably been trying to ignore. And so now I pray and try to be more observant about what this could mean in my life, in my actions or behaviors.
I used to anoint myself with oil every night/had either praise music or bible tapes left on/stopped reading anything but my bible/stopped watching tv etc because I was so afraid I was allowing things in. Seemed I was turning everything down so I could better hear the Lord...and that is just what took place!

Another good method of holding off sinful or dark dreams is to watch Hostel 1 & 2, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Basic Instinct and Tokyo Gore Police back to back then turn on a Slayer CD and go to bed
