Exclamation Prayer hearing God

Hi everyone, may God bless you!

This story is not about me. It is about my duty to honor the life of Jesus and walk in His ways. Jesus gave of himself without any regard to His own person and set the example that we all must follow in order to die on the cross as He did.
To honor our Lord, I have been helping a 76 year old grandmother who about a year ago lost her husband of 50 years, her name is Lois. She has been taking care of 3 grandchildren who were effectively abandoned by there mother and is doing her best to hold the family together. She has been a devout Christian since childhood; and until recently attended church 3 times a week. Her days now are spent just trying to stay alive. She has diabetes and must attend to dialysis treatments three times a week because of the loss of her kidney.
In the time that I have spent with her I have come to know Gods love in ways I never new were real. The kindness that comes from her heart and spirit is so uplifting that I am a better person for just having the honor of being in her presence. It is such a blessing for me that I am able to help her in these days. I drive her to and from dialysis three days a week and have learned from being around her and other dialysis patients that this condition requires a whole lot of strength and will. Her strength is such an inspiration for me that when I fall into the abyss of depression, all I have to do is think of her and the light of her spirit my troubles go away. From my perspective God is definitely with her.
When I went to picked her up the other day to take her to dialysis, she was sitting in her chair with tears in her eyes. It was so sad I myself started to cry. I ask her what was wrong and she said that she did not want to go to dialysis anymore, and I ask her why. She said that God was not hearing her prays and she handed me a foreclosure notice from the bank. It seems that her house is being foreclosed on because her husband did not leave her with anything. Her $1100 social security check does not cover enough to pay for her food, medicine, and so on. She told me she sometimes goes without food and medicines just to pay what she can on her mortgage, but that she has fallen 120 days past due.
My heart became so heavy watching this beautiful human being sit there with the feelings that God has abandoned her. I was at a complete loss for words. I finally convinced her that she must fight for life, continue to do her dialysis and that some way God will hear her prays.
I told a friend of mine the story and he offered a way that we could possibly help out. On his website he is publishing a web-based book of two 12 year old girls, Addison and Eva, who get thrusted into a life long journey of discovering ‘the stone the builders rejected.’ This is a beautiful inspiring story of faith and perseverance in the teachings of Jesus Christ. He has offered to donate the onetime fee of $1.44 for each person that signs up to the site and reads the story until the $40,000 is raised to pay for her home. Unfortunately we have until middle of May to raise the funds.
Because of my friends offer I wonder if God is answering her prays. Can we honor this person in Christ by putting ourselves forward and doing what we can to try to save her home and to give her some peace of mind before she dies? Is this what Jesus would do? Or is it a lost cause? I do not know, but I do know this, I MUST TRY!!
I ask you to go to Stone People and sign up to read the inspiring story of Addison and Eva. It only cost $1.44 which is less than the cost of a 2 liter bottle of pop. Is this women’s life worth it? You tell me, because I want to know.
Pleas pray that Lois feels Gods love and her prayers to be answered.
