I will be there SUNDAY. They will pick me up, a lady who lives in my same area told me about the church. Thanks God for the HELP!Love your new friend Debrinconcita in Portland Oregon USA! Bless You!

Thanks for the kind comment. I just moved recently. I haven't found a new church yet. I have been trying to get my car tags and insurance and everything situated. When I first arrived here, I saw a bus or van picking people up. They gave me a card and I lost it. So far I haven't seen the van again lately. I will certainly look into your advice. Thanks my friend, from Debrinconcita in Portland Oregon.

Hi. I like what you said to unchained. I probably would have quoted the same. I'm new on this site. I don't really have any friends that are fellow believers. I've been rather isolated for the past ten years. Stepping out in faith - now that I am able to do so. Looking forward to reading more of your posts. Many blessings.

    Hi kittycat,
Thanks. I answered him the best I could. Actually his question made me have to think about it a bit. I witnessed to a friend for ten years before he moved out of my life. He once asked me why Christians study the Bible all the time. Oh, the thought of that question. What joy and what richness of wisdom he is missing out on.
    Blessings,

Am I to understand the Open Source Forum for the Fantasy Novel has dropped to the wayside back in 2008 and has no more interests in it?

I had placed a poll so it looks like Open Source forum is dead even though some have viewed the poll, but hardly any votes.

Has Shield left for good or has something transpired that the forum was left hanging till his return?

It will be wonderful to see how many folks are blessed when we get there my friend, and the even greater blessing will be when together, we are blessed again to lay our crowns at His feet for the great works He did through the things we may have considered the smallest of all. I appreciate your faithful attendance Deacon, and your willingness to participate when the studies are interactive. It makes a better learning and fellowship environment for us all when you "step forward" and ask or answer a question. It often encourages others to do the same. Thanks for that. Blessings,

Just the other day I caught part of a Christian radio show, and a young student called in to speak about the difficulty he was having with his teacher, (history I presume). The problem he was having was that his teacher took issue with his use of the standard epoch indication for recorded history before the birth of Jesus, namely--B.C.. The student was told to change the indication to B.C.E., which stands for "Before the Common Era." I had trouble hearing the whole account because I was...

Primum Movens

We've all heard the term, "the Big Bang Theory". I guess the Big Bang Theory is the one spoken of by astronomer Sir Fred Hoyle when he invented the term in 1950 during a British radio program. The only trouble with that is....there really isn't one Big Bang Theory. There are a bunch. Are they all accurate? Since they mostly oppose each other, explaining observable data in different ways, some or most of them must lose plausibility. Any of a number of models...

With all of the socio-econmic revelations coming out of the White House, I have been hearing constant talk about socialism. Liberal politicians seem to be saying that we are not headed down a socialistic path. More conservative politicians say that we most definitely are.

A recent Newsweek Magazine business article titled, "We Are All Socialists Now", state that like it or not that America is headed in a European direction. Just six weeks into a new presidential administration,...

So, Father's Day has come and gone. Pffft. Over. Right? I would like to think it isn't, but this is a fast-moving society we live in, and holidays and trends tend to come and go without notice. I had no idea it was Flag Day on the 14th. Did you?

I have paid special attention to Father's Day this year. I have some good memories associated with it, but there are some unusual ones too.

My own father became paralyzed from the chest down, due to a cancerous tumor on his...
