Dr. F,
I have an issue that is tearing me up.I have reunited with my high school sweetheart.We are very much in love and planning to marry soon.He is a new Christian. My problem is that he still has a bad habit from before he became a Christian. At least, until two days ago when I kind of gave him an ultimatum. I want us to grow together as Christians, but I don't want him to think I'm trying to control him. I would rather it be his decision. I know God doesn't expect us to be perfect when we come to Him.I feel like I'm putting a wedge in our relationship by asking him to stop all at once.Should I be able to go ahead and marry him and let God do His part in helping us work this out?I don't want to lose him but he knows God comes first.I also,am not his judge.Would it be un-Christian to go ahead with the marriage?I feel like because he is a new Christian, we can work it out. He is an amputee (arm) and that helps him with his pain.That makes this double hard.
