you are speaking truth, man. I do depend on it to calm me down. But it does. It helped me to be more patient at times when I had none, and makes life a little more fun. Avoiding tends to be easier than dealing. Besides, I am enrolled in school and doing well. It's not inhibiting me. That is just how I feel right now. My mind in a high state can be useful, as well as my mind when it's straight. I can utilize both.
That's just how I feel right now..
But I found my cat, and in a miraculous way..
so I guess I got some thinking to do.

yeah, but I guess that I don't know it is truth. and I still wish my cat would come home. I live in a city with a lot of pit bulls, bull mastiffs, city roads. There are no yards where I live. So, I'm confident something happened to her. She is just a cat though. I shouldn't let it bother me. I've got a lot to be thankful for.

I also think that the more you immerse yourself in something, the more you believe it and learn it. I feel that If I immersed myself in any religious practice I could learn to feel a spiritual calling and see something in it. All I would know is the Bible. I would be doing what could technically be considered brainwashing myself. Scientologists and other cults exist for some of these same reasons. I feel like you can make yourself believe in anything. It's human nature and a self-defense mechanism. But I know one verse in the bible that says something about how you shouldn't lean on your own understanding but trust God instead.. but that still trips me up.. maybe you can help me with this problem too.

yea, well. So, I'm not totally understanding. How did God fix that for you? And also, you're saying you would never have come to God if you had money and a job? I'm not criticizing you at all. I just want to know. And, I'm not sure if I'd turn it around. I like my life. I mean, I never did really enjoy life. But I feel like I almost had more worries when I was a Christian. Then again, it's hard to even organize my thoughts. I'm not really sure. Your testimony would probably be a good thing for me though.
