It brakes my heart to see that a scam artist is using this beautiful forum, which is a wonderful tool for Christians to encourage one another and to pray for one another and to glorify our Father God while doing so.

I want to warn all of the members to be aware of a well known scam that is going around.

I was even contacted by the FBI about a yr ago on this exact type of scam to have me to help them by forwarding to them these type of e-mails because I was getting about 5 to 10 each day. The names are changed but all in all they are the same scam. This came to e in a private message today on this forum. I'm sure many others have gotten the same message.

It is a SCAM, Stay away from it !!!!

I am Mrs.Maureen Adams from Solomon Island. I am married to Mr. williams Adams who worked with our Embassy in Ivory Coast for nine years before he died on the 15th August 2006. We were married for eleven years without a child.

He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days.
Ever before his death we were both born again Christians and have sown into many ministries. Since his death I decided not to re-marry, but feeling quite lonely if not the Lord who has been my partner and comforter.

When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of$2.5 Million with a Bank in Cote D lvoire. Presently this money is still in the custody of the Bank in Cote D lvoire.Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for the next Five months due to cancer problem. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to a church,organization or good person that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct herein.

I want a church,organization or good person that will use this funds to help the orphans, widows and other people that need financial assistance.
Using part of this money to provide facilities for God,s work, taking the gospel to greater height is my major reason of donating this funds out.The Bible made us to understand that"Blessed is the hand that giveth".

l took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians and it had been their wish to see my husband dead in order that they might inherit his wealth since we have no son.
These people are therefore not worthy of this inheritance.This is why I am taking this decision. Meanwhile I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. It is only a sinner who's death is painful I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health hence the presence of my husband's relatives around me always. I don't want them to know about this development and l know that With God all things are possible.

As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Bank in Cote d' lvoire. I will also issue a letter of authorization to the bank that will prove you the present beneficiary of this money.

I also want you to always uplift me in prayer.
My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever that Wants to serve the Lord must serve him in truth and faith, "serving him with all you have, knowing that naked we come and naked we must go" and any delay in your reply will give me room in sourcing another good person, church,organization for this same purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I Stated herein.

yeh I was just getting on and had the same type of message sent to me. I went to report, and it said it was sent from a guest. hmm I was thinking that guests couldnt post or send messages. makes sence now

There are literally countless variations of this type of scam being perpetrated on the internet in general, via IM networks, e-mails, social networking sites, web-site forums and anywhere scammers choose to try their luck.

I'd suggest deciding that anything you come across online that remotely resembles this example is a variant of this scam and save yourself a lot of grief.

I get them on another Christian website. I even get scams from the FBI, even banks, priests, nuns, Yahoo! And so called Christians who want me to pay a fee to get millions of dollars. Most are from Africa, and the photo they use, they look like ugly suckers you can walk with a chain. I get them also from the UK, Italy, Scotland, South America. I don't respond to them. I'm thankful I haven't got one from Satan! It would be too hot to handle!
