My Prayer

I get it now.. it’s beyond my control and I must let it go...
Keep my center from toppling into the whirlwind..
Didn’t seem so necessary before the meltdown
But the test is in full measure and my sanity depends on it.
No one told me this was going to be so hard you know..
Facing the storms yet staying in the calm of the center...
This is where the trust must fall in place and I do believe..
It’s going to be okay you say and I do believe it will...
But if you don’t mind I might shed a few tears okay..
I’m always suppose to be strong and I’m not so anymore
So fill me with the peace and serentity I so crave..
Help me to be who you want me to be..
What is my mission, my purpose, my divine journey in life..
It’s a miracle this life we live and every moment reminds me..
Fill my heart with your pure love and open my mind to you..
Take this floundering soul and raise it up to be like you..
Embrace my spirit and lift it up to eternal bliss..
So I can be with others passed who now reside at Heaven’s address
I’ve heard the love you do provide is beyond my wildest dreams
But in the meantime I will feel the love of all my fellow human beings
And hopefully, if just for a moment transcend my love into their souls
I cherish times I can have a chance to be the difference to another..
I feel the peace come into me the closer I come to you..
I’m searching and I’m reaching to be oh so nearer to you my God,
