I am really sad about how some have been treating one another in CCNet forums as of late, so I just wanted to post this reminder from Jesus. As the Apostle Paul said of himself in his letter to Timothy, I believe that I (Michael) am the chief of sinners (1 Timothy 1:15). PRAISE GOD that none of us are God.
1) But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2) Early in the morning he came again to the temple; all the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them. 3) The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst 4) they said to him, "Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. 5) Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such. What do you say about her?" 6) This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. 7) And as they con tinued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, "Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her." 8) And once more he bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. 9) But when they heard it, they went away, one by one, beginning with the eldest, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. 10) Jesus looked up and said to her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" 11) She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; go, and do not sin again." |

This is an important teaching but those who quote it fail to emphasize the punch line.Yes Jesus did forgive but only conditionally, the woman was commanded to sin no more;let's not forget that.
The Holy Spirit is telling me that God has a message to add so let me find out what it is. "YES I SAY GO AND SIN NO MORE BUT DO NOT FORGET MY LOVE AND FORGIVENESS.IT IS ETERNAL AND FOREVER LASTING.MY LOVE NEVER FAILS.NOW GO AND TEACH THAT". No wonder the Holy Spirit kept interrupting me! And I thought He was going to agree with me. Looks like I lose again! It looks like I'm going to have to figure out how to change the tone and content of my messages to conform with this new instruction.Reminds me of the instruction God gave me when I advocated that children be punished with spanking. He didn't go for that one either. Ok God I'll try to become more loving and forgiving. He sure doesn't make it easy does He? Definitely worth the struggle though! |

Sir,
I did not post this to start any problems. I am a simple person. I am just saying that there are many people posting here who seem to forget that when they are throwing rocks at each other that if Jesus were here that He would be writing things to all of us in the dirt that would make us all ashamed and drop our rocks. |

Hello persguru,
I don't think you missed the "punch line". I think your post was timely and the words of the Savior as always are profitable, just as they are. I am grateful to the Lord, and I am thankful that the volumes that could be written about me in the sand are blown smooth by the winds of His grace. You are right that we should all remember that here, and when one has a difference with another on the server, one should still be kind. Kindness can still be exercised when one stands firm in one's belief. In fact, such kindness is vital for the growth not only of one's witness, but for the peace of one's soul. Blessings, seekHm1st

Amen. Agreed. Without any doubt or reservation. This is just a quick note, and response. Normally I would post verse after verse, but let me just quickly remind all of us, that Without love, its all useless. We may disagree on certain points, and that is ok. Each of us are growing in the Lord. So I am pleased to simply state, Study about love, learn what God said it is, and what it isn't. Love is a fruit of the Spirit. Love is described and defined. God is Love. We must love, those of us in Christ. This is a command by Jesus Himself, not a suggestion.

Hi there I'm glad God chose us to be there for one another. Whatever our differences we should have the fruits of the Holy Spirit and be patient with one another, building each other up, having that love for one another and having joy in fellowshipping. If we have wronged each other I pray we don't hold it against each other but come to the Lord and seek forgivenes and pray that the Lord will bring us back together and having that wrongness restored. It will be great to have the peace with each other and be kind to one another. I know we are all growing in our Christian lives but what the Lord wants for us is to be long suffering as He is.In the Book of Romans chapter 15: 1-8 please can you see how the Lord wants us to receive one another.
