Hi All,
I read a part of Psalms that struck a chord with me today!! It was from Psalms 10:4 In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. It struck me because I am the kind of guy who thinks a lot and as time went by I found myself being involved in other things and my thoughts about God gradually faded. There was no room for God anymore because things like relationships, career, money etc. took over all my thoughts. The relationships never succeeded I always wondered why. ![]() The next three verses also reminded me of myself 5 His ways are always prosperous; he is haughty and your laws are far from him; he sneers at all his enemies. 6 He says to himself, "Nothing will shake me; I'll always be happy and never have trouble." 7 His mouth is full of curses and lies and threats; trouble and evil are under his tongue. Have you ever read the bible and felt like everything is going to be OK. For me its always like a stern warning ![]() I think we all got to make some time each day no matter what for God. Everyday we skip to think and study about our relationship with God its one more step in the wrong direction. It is foolish to spend the day in your own plans and thoughts because for it to succeed you need the hand of God. So lets all make a bit of room for God. Thanks, InHisHands1 |

You are right. It takes so little to spend a few minutes a day talking to god and thanking God,Jesus and the Archangels and angels for that day.
It takes so little to be a decent person. |

Hi InHisHands,
I can certainly relate to what you are saying and meaning. It is so easy to beat ourselves up and so hard to just yield to God's Holy Spirit and walk in the newness of life and abide in Him. Luke chapter 18:13 "And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying,'God be merciful to me a sinner!" This verse has been a prayer for me, to the Lord, when I despair of my self perception, spiritual walk, lack of zeal for the things of the Lord etc. These last days are so stressfull and perilous, but the Holy Spirit and faith given to us by the Lord Himself, keeps us desiring to please Him. God's Love covers the multitude of our sins, and He gently and kindly urges us to continue in the faith, despite trials, and that self, which wants to rule. He is Faithful and will finish the work He has begun in us,amen!!! |

Thanks Graeme Bell and Emrald7 for your comments.
Even though sometimes you find it really ridiculous to make room - you must. For that you have to be as humble as the earth. Then only will you realise the reasons of your misery and then only will you save your soul. I see a change in me after I decided to make room for God at least half an hour daily no matter what. I no longer get angry when things go wrong. I am very patient with people who do me wrong and I am always free to talk my mind and not run the risk of being biased or manipulative. I no longer worry unnecessarily and always look on the bright side. But the most important change is that everyone treats me with respect even the ones that want to see me down. No the most important is that I am happy after a long time |

God honours those who honour Him, InHisHands, and draw near to God and He will draw near to you
![]() It is difficult to deny self and the flesh, and make an act of the will decision, to spend more time with the Lord, because the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. May the Lord help us to be more zealous for His will in our lives, as the days go by

There is a verse that I normally quote when people express praise (worship) for politicians and those that decide to dedicate their lives to serving the government but I think it can apply to your former mindset as well. Here it is:
James 4:4 (New King James Version) 4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Last week the Holy Spirit instructed me to keep mentioning the love that Jesus has for us so I am trying to find that angle in the messages I write. What I see here is that your former materialistic and worldly way of thinking ("There was no room for God anymore because things like relationships, career, money etc. took over all my thoughts")prevented you from using Jesus as a role model to display genuine love (compassion) for others.Instead the love that you had appears to be of a sexual nature and you seemed to be consumed with the worship of money ("success"). CONGRATULATIONS ON FINDING THE LIGHT THAT HAS TURNED YOU INTO A CHRIST FOLLOWER INSTEAD OF A SELF FOLLOWER! |
