Hi Jim.
I used to be caught up in apologetics thinking that reason would convince one and bring them to faith, but have come to the realization that apologetics are fruitless and we must adhere to the way prescribed by God. I have never been good at arguing evolution, but to me this is just another form of apologetics. Martin Luther always said that studying any of the sciences was a waste of time and of no value. We both know that the wisdom of the world is foolishness to God… and I believe this includes science.
I’m not sure if I got your point… but assuming that I did I will leave you with the power that changes, the power that convicts, the power that saves… and that is the Word of God, pure and simple. May we rely on Him and that only to see His sheep come to faith and repentance.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL of Christ: for it is the POWER OF GOD unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Peace be with you my friend,
In His Love,
Sam
p.s. the interpretation of the verse to me says... That we are to hold on to the truth, speak only the truth that has been entrusted to us and avoid "meaningless" talk and debates over things that do not matter.
